Scholarships to Propel Your Career Forward

Spouses of active-duty service members may qualify for up to $4,000 in financial assistance from the Department of Defense, distributed in increments of up to $2,000 per fiscal year. The MyCAA scholarship grant supports spouses of Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force, and National Guard personnel in pursuing education, training, licenses, certificates, and degrees that lead to employment in portable career fields. PharmTechEDU offers MyCAA-approved programs that are accessible anywhere, anytime. Our certification programs prepare you for in-demand, portable jobs, which are crucial for military families.

Who is Eligible for MyCAA?
Scholarship Requirements
  • Married to an Active Duty Service Member: Includes spouses of service members in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and National Guard on Title 10 orders.
  • Service Member Pay Grades: Eligible pay grades include E-1 to E-6, W-1 to W-2, and O-1 to O-3.
  • Limited Time to Act: Spouses must complete coursework while their military sponsor is on Title 10 military orders as reported in DEERS.
  • National Guard and Reserve Component Spouses: Eligible if within the ranks of E-1 to E-6, W-1 to W-2, and O-1 to O-3.

Who Isn’t Eligible?
  • Spouse is married to service members in pay grades: E-7 and above, W-3 and above, or O-4 and above.
  • Spouse is married but legally separated (or under court order or statute of any state or US territory) from a member of the armed forces on Title 10 orders.
  • Spouse is married to a National Guard/Reservist Component military sponsor on warning orders/alert, post-deployment/demobilization, or transition status.
  • Spouse is married to a member of the National Guard.
  • Spouse is an active member of the armed forces on Title 10 orders

 

Application For MyCAA

  1. Create a MyCAA account on the MyCAA website.
  2. Once your account is approved, explore approved MyCAA career fields and certification programs.
  3. Find a school that matches your interests and offers MyCAA-approved programs.
  4. Create an Education and Training Plan (ETP). Career coaches are available to assist if needed.
  5. Work with your selected school’s advisor to complete the application process.
  6. Apply for MyCAA financial assistance.
  7. Collaborate with your school’s advisor to finalize the application process.

Your chosen program and institution must be endorsed by MyCAA, and there’s a wide array of eligible programs and MyCAA-accredited schools available, including PharmTechEDU. According to MyCAA, the sole restriction is that “the concentration or major for the Associate’s degree cannot be General Studies, Liberal Arts, or Interdisciplinary Studies unless there is a specific concentration such as General Studies – Nursing, or General Studies – Teaching.” It’s crucial to assess the portability of your chosen program and the demand for the career you’re pursuing in various locations.
